Q. Where did the name ICE Fitness come from?
A. ICE is an acronym for "Isolation, Concentration, Execution". Three elements key to properly perform a particular exercise. Isolating the muscle group you’re working with during a specific movement. Concentrating on proper form, breathing and posture, which begins with fundamentally training the body correct yet basic balance and flexibility skills. With these two elements in mind….Executing the movement to perfection and effectively work the muscle with lower risk of injury.
Q. Do you just take anyone in as a client? Should I see a doctor before signing up?
A. In a word…no. A medical health history and consultation is needed to determine program eligibility. Though there are so many benefits both mentally and physically when including an exercise regimen in your life, a clean bill of health from your family physician is encouraged when beginning any form of physical activity.
Q. I’ve been attempting to eat right and exercise on my own but I’m just not getting results. Will you be able to help me?
A. We can always sit down and discuss where you’re at, where you’d like to go with your program and design not only an exercise program, but there is always the option of additional services such as a nutrition profile and plan as well as weekly food diary review, advice and adjustment. These services are complimentary with a 6 month and 1 year training packages.
Q. I don’t belong to a gym. Where can we train?
A. Working with beginners are my specialty! I understand the struggle, frustration and motivation issues you have experienced in your past and current attempts to incorporate your lifestyle change. Having weight struggles my entire life, I also know mental strain it puts on a person personally, professionally, etc. Being self conscious about yourself in a gym setting deters people from moving their at-home workout and taking it to the next level. Your training starts in your own home!
Q. Isn’t hiring a personal trainer expensive? Do you give session discounts with your package plans?
A. Discounts?...You betcha! I love a discount! And I also LOVE teaching people the secrets I learned to get where I am physically today. You’ll find that as a whole my rates are marginally more affordable because of my passion to help people get healthier. Rates of $45 for a single 1-hour session and can be a fraction of that price when the 6 week, 3 month, 6 month or 1 year package is purchased!
